6 chickens now reside in a newly constructed hen house in the garden of Carding Mill Valley, funded for by the money raised from raffle ticket sales earlier in the year. They will hopefully provide eggs for the tea room once they have been salmonella tested, increasing the amount of food that now comes from the kitchen garden and may be joined by another 6 chickens in a year or so.
