A few weeks ago the Long Mynd was host to a mountain bike event called the Batch Burner. 250 cyclists entered and raised £6,200 for Norbury School. The National Trust provided radios, maps, first aid kits and a landrover as back up. The marshals made sure walkers and other users were not inconvenienced and the day went very well, with no litter left and no damage to paths found.
