Stars in Your Skies

Last week we had an event called stars in your skies in the valley. It was very popular with 41 people attending and was all about astronomy. It was organised by our volunteer, Richard Hickman and the talks were led by Dr Allan Longstaff, a professor in astonomy. The event involved a lecture and stargazing outside, the duration of which did depend on the weather. Shropshire is the second darkest county (after Northumberland) and people often visit from London to see the Milkyway.
