Assistant Ranger Nick worked with two members of the Tuesday Task Force to remove the stone sign on top of the Mynd.
It was hard work! The sign was originally put in to replace a metal sign, as it is more in keeping with the natural landscape on the Long Mynd, but unfortunately it got knocked over.
Once the stone was broken, FTVs Isabel and Richard went along with Volunteer John Worrell and carted all the stone away.
The last slab of stone will be removed soon, but we think it looks better already!
