A heavily pregnant pony was spotted in the valley a little while ago, and on the 9th March she gave birth to a beautiful chestnut foal just down from the chalet pavilion.

A foggy day in the valley!
On the 2nd November a dense fog descended on the valley, leaving the tops of the hills clear, this provided the perfect opportunity for some photos!

Mare and Foal in the Valley
This gorgeous mare and foal have been living in the valley for the past few days, having come down off the hill to escape some of the nasty weather we've been having! Aren't they lovely! If you see them please keep your distance as the foal is still very young, and if they are in your way please go around them, as separating the mare from her foal will make her very anxious.

Ponies in the Valley
These ponies were enjoying some winter sunshine yesterday morning! The sun can take a while to reach the valley floor, so do be careful if you're visiting us and its a little icy!

Pretty Ponies
Assistant Ranger Nick Robinson took these gorgeous photos of ponies on the hill. Aren't they great? Even though the season is changing, the Long Mynd is still a stunning place to visit. Why not take a walk up there on a clear morning, or maybe have an evening stroll?

Ponies in Batch Valley
These ponies were spotted in Batch Valley last week munching on the grass by the ticket machine. Normally they live on the top of the hills but are free to roam wherever they like. If you see the ponies please enjoy them from a distance as they do scare easily!
