Hopesay Hedge

Before: Start of hedgerow restoration

As part of Natural England's Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) Scheme, work was undertaken on Hopesay Hedge. The aim of HLS is to deliver significant environmental benefits in priority areas such as the Long Mynd. It involves complex environmental management to develop a comprehensive agreement that achieves a wide range of environmental benefits over a long period of time. The work undertaken here will comply with the hedgerow restoration aims within the scheme for the area, which include reestablishing wildlife corridors and general landscape improvements.
