Hopesay Hill

Straining wire netting to tighten

Post Rammer on back of Tractor

Using chisel to create hole for strut
Work has continued on the recently coppiced hedge at Hopesay. Around 50% of the hedge trees have been removed (and then burnt by the TTF) which will allow new hedge plants to prosper without having to compete so much for light and water. However, the area is grazed by both sheep and ponies and so double fencing has been erected. The process was made a lot easier by the use of a post rammer on the back of the Tractor. After this, netting was stapled on and the hedge is now ready to be planted.

Ready for planting!
