A slate bridge and bench have been installed near the Chalet Pavillion in Carding Mill Valley. It has been planned for over 5 years, so as to help ease the shortage of outside seating at heavy times, and to allow access to both sides of the stream for pond dipping school children.

David Pritchard donated the bridge and bench to the National Trust as a memorial to his son and also designed the inscription on the top of the bench.
