New Phone lines

A start is being made to relocate as many of the overhead cables and pylons underground.
This involves putting the new cables in trenches that run alongside the road.

In the last few weeks, the Ranger team with the help from the Tuesday Task Force and in places a digger; dug a trench alongside the alternative footpath to avoid the ford in Carding Mill Valley, just opposite the flats.

Once the trench had been compleated cable duckting was layed down with rope threaded through. (ready to pull the cables through.) After the trench was filled in our part was done, as BT will be sorting the cable and the connection.
